Initial provisioning

As a Guidewire Cloud customer, you get access to:

  • Continuous Integration/Continuous Development (CI/CD) pipeline.

  • Code repository.

During the initial provisioning, Guidewire provides the following items:

  • A preconfigured and reliable planet available in a scalable, clustered space.

Basic versions of InsuranceSuite applications deployed to a planet of the Dev class.

  • A development instance of base InsuranceSuite code in Atlassian Bitbucket.

Your work begins with this development instance. You apply configuration and integrations to it. Guidewire doesn't apply any configurations or integrations to the base code.

You can access it only from the dev star system. The code is available for deploying in pre-production and production star systems only through build promotion.

  • A pre-configured, cloud-based database cluster.

This cluster contains databases for all the applications in all star systems.

  • A CI/CD automation environment in Guidewire Home.

  • Build-management infrastructure in TeamCity.

You can access it only from a dev star system.

Set of default InsuranceSuite applications

Your contract with Guidewire specifies a set of default InsuranceSuite applications. This set applies to every planet within a star system. To change the set of default InsuranceSuite applications, Guidewire has to delete a star system and set up a new star system. The new star system has a new set of default InsuranceSuite applications.
