High Volume Quoting

High Volume Quoting (HVQ) is a PolicyCenter feature that handles processing of large volumes of quote requests. The most common use of HVQ is to respond to requests from insurance rate comparison and rate aggregation websites.

HVQ in Planets app

In the Planets app, you can deploy an additional, separate PolicyCenter instance that runs in HVQ-only mode and handles the quote requests.

HVQ is enabled on a planet level. When the HVQ option is enabled, the Planets app provides dedicated HVQ-only nodes and makes an API HVQ URL available so that you can make HVQ API calls.

Guidewire can activate PolicyCenter in the HVQ-only mode when creating a planet. If you aren't sure if this feature is available for your planet, contact your customer partner.
