Prerequisites

To use Integration Data Manager you must be using InsuranceSuite Hakuba (2023.06) or later.

Integration Data Manager also requires your environment to be in a planet that has an assigned package. To use Integration Data Manager successfully, you must switch the Guidewire Home context to select a planet that has an Integration Data Manager-assigned package. Assign the package to the planet in Lifecycle Manager. For more information about assigning packages, see Lifecycle Manager.

Granting user access

To enable Integration Data Manager for use with your InsuranceSuite environment, enter a Support case with Guidewire using the Integration Data Manager (IDM-0010) Community Case Template.

The following groups will be enabled in your identity provider(s). After these groups are added, you must create the same groups and assign users as appropriate in your identity provider.

gwa.any_planet_class.flexistore.admin

Provides access to everything (pools, schemas and documents) in production for a single tenant.

gwa.lower.flexistore.admin

In development environments, this group provides access to the Integration Data Manager service for a single tenant.

gwa.pd_lower.flexistore.admin

In development environments, this group provides access to Integration Data Manager in Guidewire Home a single tenant.

Granting InsuranceSuite access to Integration Data Manager

InsuranceSuite planets must be granted access to the Integration Data Manager service before InsuranceSuite can write or read Integration Data Manager documents. After you enter a Support case with Guidewire using the Integration Data Manager (IDM-0010) Community Case Template, Guidewire grants access to your InsuranceSuite environments. Note that InsuranceSuite has access to all pools for that tenant star system and does not need access to specific individual pools.

Granting Integration Gateway access to an Integration Data Manager pool

An Integration Gateway app must be granted access to a pool before it can read from or write to that pool. Do this using the Integration Data Manager configuration user interface:

  1. Log in to Guidewire Cloud Home.
  2. From the list of pools that have been defined, choose Edit Pool.
  3. Choose Grant Access To Pool.
  4. From the drop-down list, choose the Integration Gateway application which is to be granted access.
