Outbound files integration
InsuranceSuite can integrate with external systems. The base configuration includes frameworks for processing file-based data and for creating files for external systems. With Guidewire Home, you can access applications deployed to the Guidewire Cloud Platform to configure the integrations.
To work with outbound files integration, you must use the latest version of the ManagedS3OutboundConfig package.

Outbound files integration in InsuranceSuite applications
The base configuration of InsuranceSuite applications includes a framework for creating files for external systems. The files are created from records in the database. The application provides the framework with a general processing mechanism and an interface that describes how to process data in the records.
You must provide configuration details and a class implementing the interface.

Using outbound files integration with Guidewire cloud
Outbound files integration for cloud applications transfers files to an Amazon S3 bucket managed by Guidewire.
Guidewire creates all the required prefix structures and gives you permissions to perform operations on these structures. To get information about the Amazon S3 bucket and prefix for storing files:
- Go to Administration → Utilities → Outbound Files in the application interface.
- Select Outbound File Configs.
Configuration details are displayed in the Amazon S3 Storage Configs tab. The Amazon S3 bucket details are visible when there is one or more configuration in the table.
You don't have to create any additional prefixes.
Storing files in the Amazon S3 bucket
You can view and download files from the Amazon S3 bucket provided by Guidewire.
To access the Amazon S3 bucket, you need an access key. To get the access key, contact your customer partner.
